Series and Numbering

Every Peruvian electronic document is identified by a series and a correlative number, printed together as SERIES-NUMBER (e.g. FABC-12346). You send both on every request. Brinta does not assign them.

A note follows the letter of the document it modifies

A credit or debit note on a factura uses an F series. A note on a boleta uses a B series. An F note can't modify a boleta, and a B note can't modify a factura.

Rules

  • Series per document type. Use a different series for each document type, so the factura correlative and the credit note correlative never collide. A note can use its own series (e.g. FC01) as long as it starts with the right letter.
  • Correlative per series. invoice_number starts at 1 for each series and goes up by one. The pair invoice_serie + invoice_number must be unique.
  • No leading zeros. Send "invoice_number": 12346, not "00012346".
